North Somerset Mencap has gone live with a new Assist Portal designed to provide information and advice to their clients, parents and other stakeholders.
Formed in 1974, North Somerset Mencap provides support to children and adults with a learning disability and their families and carers. It is affiliated to Royal Society Mencap which is the UK's largest charity working with children and adults with a learning disability.
The Assist Portal allows businesses, public services and charities to create their own online advice, support or mentoring system based around how their customers or service users want to communicate. Communication options include: webchat, private 1-2-1 discussion threads, group adviser-led discussions, an information library, social media feeds, as well as integration of phone, online video and face-to-face appointment bookings.
Carole Pullen, Mencap’s Project Coordinator commented: “Setting up the portal was a quick and simple process and Assist provided great support along the way.”
